Three Ways Your Customers Write
Open any busy Page inbox in Bangladesh and you will see the same question in three forms. “এই ড্রেসটার দাম কত?” in Bangla script. “Ei dress ta koto?” in Banglish. “What is the price of this dress?” in English. Many customers mix them: “42 size ache? Dhakar baire delivery koto din?”
A customer service AI has to treat these as one question, find the right product, and reply in a way the customer is comfortable reading. Replying to a Banglish message in formal Bangla, or to a Bangla message in English, feels cold even when the facts are right.
Match The Customer, Not The Software
The simplest rule is to reply in the customer’s own style. Bangla script gets Bangla, Banglish gets natural Banglish, English gets English. When the customer switches in the middle of a chat, the reply switches too.
Product names, sizes and brand words usually stay as they are. Nobody translates “panjabi”, “three-piece”, “XL” or a brand name, and an AI should not either. Prices are clearest with the taka sign and digits, such as ৳1,250.
- Customer: “Dam koto bhai?” Reply: “Ei panjabi ta ৳1,450. Kon size lagbe janaben?”
- Customer: “এটা কি স্টকে আছে?” Reply: “জি, এটি এখন স্টকে আছে। কোন সাইজ ও রঙ নেবেন জানাবেন।”
- Customer: “Do you deliver outside Dhaka?” Reply: “Yes, we deliver across Bangladesh by courier. Please share your district for the charge.”

Tone Matters As Much As Language
Bangladeshi customers expect respect: “apni”, not “tumi”, a greeting, and patience when the same question comes a third time. Decide your shop’s tone once, such as warm and short, and give the AI a few examples of replies you like.
For festivals and busy days, a line such as “ঈদ মোবারক! অর্ডারের চাপ বেশি, একটু সময় লাগতে পারে” sets expectations kindly. Write such lines yourself, so the AI uses your words and not invented ones.
How To Test A Bangla Chatbot Before Going Live
Do this test with any AI tool before you let it answer customers. It takes half an hour.
Collect twenty real messages
Copy twenty real customer messages from your inbox: some in Bangla, some in Banglish, some in English and some mixed. Include a spelling mistake or two, because customers make them.
Ask each one as a customer
Send each message to the AI as if you were the customer, in a practice chat, not on your live Page.
Check the facts
Is the price right? The size? The delivery charge for that area? Any wrong fact means your shop data needs fixing, not just the reply.
Check the language and tone
Did it answer in the customer’s style? Is it polite? Would you send this reply yourself?
Check what it does not know
Ask something your shop data does not cover, such as a product you do not sell. A good AI says it will check with the team instead of inventing an answer.
When The AI Cannot Understand A Message
Some messages are unclear even to people: a single “?”, a blurry photo, a voice note in a noisy market. The AI should ask one short, polite question back, such as “কোন পণ্যটির কথা বলছেন, একটু ছবি পাঠাবেন?”, and hand the chat to a person if the second try is still unclear.
What it should never do is guess a product and quote a price. A wrong quote in a chat is a promise the customer will hold you to.

Keep Every Agent Consistent
When three team members and an AI answer the same Page, customers get three tones and sometimes three prices. Keep one written source of truth for prices, charges and policies, and a short list of saved answers for the common questions. The AI and the people should both answer from it.
How Nabik AI Handles Bangla And Banglish
Nabik AI matches each customer: Bangla script gets Bangla, Banglish gets a natural Banglish reply and English gets English, on Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp and Page comments. It answers from your own products, prices, stock and policies, and when the answer is not there it hands the chat to your team, marked Needs You, instead of guessing.
Try As Customer lets you run the test above inside the app before you switch anything on, and every correction you make becomes a fact or rule you can approve. The app’s own screens are in English; your customer conversations stay in your customers’ language.
Run your shop with Nabik AI
Nabik AI answers your customers in Bangla, takes the order and keeps stock, couriers and accounts in one place.
Questions People Ask
Can An AI Chatbot Understand Banglish?
A good one can. Banglish is Bangla written in English letters, and modern AI models understand it well when they are given the shop’s own product names and examples.
Should The AI Reply In Bangla Or English?
In the customer’s own style. Bangla script gets Bangla, Banglish gets Banglish and English gets English, and the reply switches when the customer switches.
Will The AI Translate My Product Names?
It should not. Product names, sizes and brand words usually stay as they are, and you can add your exact product names to the shop data so they are used unchanged.
How Do I Test A Bangla Chatbot?
Send twenty real customer messages in Bangla, Banglish, English and mixed to it in a practice chat, then check the facts, the language, the tone and what it does when it does not know.
Does Nabik AI Reply In Bangla?
Yes. Nabik AI replies in Bangla, Banglish or English, matching each customer, from your own shop data. The app’s screens are in English.
